We live in an information age...
|
Satellites, TVs, cell phones, faxes, the internet. We are surrounded by the technology of information. Banks, insurance companies, telemarkerters, media, the government. These are the entities that are usually using it, many times it is information about you that has been taken from your control. Social security numbers, credit ratings, medical histories, school records. It is almost impossible to know who is doing what with your data. "Knowledge is power" is how the saying goes, and it's power that hasn't gone unnoticed by the military. "Information warfare" is now a buzz word in the halls of the Pentagon and in the military think tanks around the world. Only recently we have seen how Defense Department data bases have been probed by unseen cyber intruders, saw how hackers shut down the FBI web site and vandalized other ".gov" web pages and learned how China has stolen nuclear weapons secrets from computers in Los Alamos.

Beyond the military data battle space...

An underground has developed outside the military that takes information warfare very seriously. It's members realize how it works and when it works best. A league of current and former psy-op (psychological operations) specialists, disinformationalists, C4IW experts, and of course those with hacker skills from all branches of the armed services and intelligence community, and their rivals outside in the civilian world. Daily they attack targets, engage in intelligence gathering, and attempt to destablize their adversaries. Sometimes the battles are in cyberspace. But always their "virtual" effects have consequencies in the real world.

You too can fight back...
|
Out of the shadows of the night, from the underground that is the intelligence world, come individuals that can and are leveling the playing field. For the consumer that has suffered some mistreatment at the hands of corporate or other interests, or the organization, business, or interest group that faces daunting opposition, access to new tools is here. When attorneys are an all too familiar business expense for most companies to be intimidated by threats of lawsuits, or corporate entities think they can run over the individual, the tactics from the intelligence world are unfamiliar and frightening for even the staunchest adversary. Executed properly, they can end a dispute in days. If need be, they can cause enough damage and havoc to make any entity or powerful individual reverse their position in due time. They are the data command equivalent to a kung fu master or SWAT team. It can make all the difference when neutralizing indifference to a problem is critical. The indifference ends when "your" problem becomes "their" problem. When they understand how that effects them, how they too can be made to "feel your pain", problems can be rectified expeditiously. Revenge can be exacted. The playing field is now level. Do you have a game in mind?
